A year into their flagship store's operations in Mumbai, Louboutin as a brand had gained considerable insight into the Indian consumer market and decided to make a mark in the wedding industry. For generations, Indian families have sought out bespoke designerwear for the occasion and of course, the idea behind the Suite was to customise shoes for soon-to-be brides and grooms as part of their marriage ensembles.

In keeping with this enterprise, the Mumbai boutique's Level One back-office was converted into a private area where clients can receive personalised attention for their big day. Conceptually, the Suite was to feature traditional Indian crafts and so the main design element is a collage of 44 wooden panels in varying sizes, hand-carved by local Mumbai artisans to create a large screen. Fabric swatches and shoe samples are on display alongside hand-embroidered sketches and photographs from Louboutin's archives. The display shelves are all movable, which allows for the space to be flexible; as the Wedding Suite offers a bespoke service, it was important to factor in families visiting together and the need to accommodate a variety of requirements.
